Georgia passes 2.8 million in early voting

Georgia’s early voting numbers are showing impressive turnout with nearly 2.8 million votes already cast statewide. As of the last count:
- Top In-Person Voting Counties: Fulton leads with 291,719 votes, followed by Cobb, Gwinnett, and Dekalb, each with over 180,000 votes.
- 50% Voter Turnout Threshold: Several counties have crossed this mark, including Towns, Forsyth, Fayette, and Greene.
- Demographic Breakdown:
- Race/Ethnicity: White voters account for 45% of early votes, Black voters 34%, and Hispanic, Asian, and other groups make up the remainder.
- Gender: Female voters lead with 55.7% of the turnout.
- Age: Older voters (50-79) are leading, though 18-24-year-olds are showing strong participation at 21%.
This final stretch of early voting continues until November 1, allowing voters flexibility to cast ballots at any precinct within their county.

Several counties have crossed the 50% threshold of active voters who have voted with six days still to go in early voting. Those counties are:

- Dawson County – 51%

- Forsyth County – 50%
- Fayette County – 50%
As for race, gender and age when it comes to early voting turnout, the breakdown looks like this:
