‘Friend-Raiser’ celebration planned for April 19

The Youth Villages’ “Friend-Raiser” Celebration is planned for April 19 at the Omni Hotel at the Battery Atlanta. Kim and Ira Blumenthal will host this free charity event that benefits Janie’s Fund, which serves over 400 children and families in Georgia each year through residential and community-based mental and behavioral health programs. Those involved in the event say the young people served in Georgia are some of the most at-risk in the metro Atlanta area.

Among various activities planned, event participants will learn more about the work of Youth Villages, enjoy a performance from the Youth Villages Georgia West African therapeutic djembe drumming team, and hear from one of the Youth Villages Life Set Ambassadors.
