Share
As of September 26, 2024, free at-home COVID-19 rapid tests can be ordered and shipped through the United States Postal Service® (USPS). Each order contains four tests, with a limit of one order per residential address. Additional tests cannot be ordered, regardless of household size.
This initiative is part of a federal program aimed at providing free at-home COVID-19 tests with no shipping fees to every residential address and residential PO Box™ in the United States. Packages cannot be shipped outside the U.S., but they can be sent to APO/FPO/DPO addresses and U.S. territories and possessions. Please note that tests cannot be ordered for business addresses or business PO Boxes.
How to Order:
U.S. households are eligible to order four free COVID-19 tests at www.COVIDTests.gov. These tests are designed to detect current COVID-19 variants and can be used through the end of the year.
Expiration Dates:
Many COVID-19 tests have extended expiration dates, allowing you to use them beyond the printed expiration date on the box. To find out if your test has an extended expiration date, please check the list of extended expiration dates.
