Following a storm last month that brought over five inches of rain and flood damages to homes, businesses, and apartments in various parts of Cobb County, the U.S. Small Business Administration has issued a “disaster declaration” for the area.
Cobb residents whose homes or businesses were damaged during flooding in September can apply for physical damage SBA loans as well as Economic Injury Disaster Loans for small businesses. The federal agency opened a Disaster Loan Outreach Center at the Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center, located at 2051 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta.
The Disaster Loan Outreach Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday with representatives on hand to assist applicants through Oct. 28.
