Elderly woman struck and killed crossing road in Mableton

A fatal accident occurred on Wednesday when Rosa Moore, 76, of Austell was struck by a Honda Civic driven by 27-year-old Amanie Davis near Riverside Elementary School in South Cobb. The collision took place around 6:45 p.m. as Moore was crossing South Gordon Road near Factory Shoals Road.

Following the impact, Moore came to an uncontrolled rest in the westbound lane, and the driver, Davis, pulled into a Shell gas station on South Gordon Road. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene by the Cobb County Medical Examiner.
