Early Voting Begins October 14 for Georgia’s November 4 Election
Share
Early voting for Georgia’s November 4 election begins Tuesday, October 14, and runs through Friday, October 31. Voters should note that there will be no voting from November 1 through November 3, so those wishing to cast their ballots early should make plans accordingly.
This election gives Georgians the opportunity to select two members of the Georgia Public Service Commission, the statewide panel responsible for regulating utilities and energy rates. Voters across the state will have a say in who helps shape Georgia’s energy future and consumer protections.
In addition to statewide races, residents in certain cities and counties will also participate in local municipal elections. In Cobb County, residents can visit the county’s elections website for detailed information about local races, early voting locations, and hours of operation.
Those who prefer to vote by mail can request an absentee ballot by visiting Cobb County Absentee Voting. Requests should be submitted early to ensure timely delivery and return of ballots.
For in-person voting, Georgians must bring a valid photo ID. Acceptable forms of identification include:
- A Georgia driver’s license (even if expired)
- A U.S. passport
- A voter identification card
- Tribal identification
- Government or military-issued photo ID
Election Day will be held on Tuesday, November 4, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must cast their ballots at their assigned polling locations.
