More than 110,000 cases of ice cream bars produced by Rich’s Ice Cream Co., a Florida-based manufacturer, have been recalled over concerns of potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination, according to a July 17 announcement from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
What Consumers Need to Know:
- Recall Classification: Class II
This means the use of the product may cause temporary or medically reversible health effects, and the chance of more serious consequences is considered remote. - Impacted Lot Numbers: 24351 through 25156
- Recall Initiated: June 27, 2025
- Total Affected: 110,292 cases
Affected Ice Cream Bar Products include individually packaged frozen treats as part of the recall:
- Chocolate Crunch Cake Bars
- Strawberry Shortcake Bars
- Rich Bars
- Crumbled Cookie Bars
- Orange Cream Bars
- Fudge Frenzy Bars
- Cotton Candy Twirl Bars
- Savagely Sour Blue Raspberry Bars
- Savagely Sour Cherry Bars
- Cool Watermelon Bars
Products were distributed in master cases and sold across 23 states and Nassau, Bahamas: Affected States include:
Arizona, Alabama, Ohio, California, Pennsylvania, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, Virginia, Illinois, Missouri, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Iowa, South Carolina, Oregon, Oklahoma, Nevada, Louisiana, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.
Rich’s Ice Cream Co. has not issued specific guidance for consumers, including refunds or returns. Customers are advised to:
- Check your freezer for the listed products and lot numbers
- Avoid consumption of affected bars
