Cobb County middle school student allegedly sexually assaulted by teacher

Parents in Cobb are extremely concerned after teacher Holly McQueen was arrested and accused of molesting a student while she worked at Smitha Middle School.

In the arrest warrant, McQueen, 23, of Covington, is accused of sexually assaulting the 13-year-old girl at the Cobb middle school during the 2022 spring semester. McQueen is charged with six felonies, including one count of sexual assault by a teacher, principal or administrator, three counts of child molestation and two counts of enticing a child.

In the warrant, Cobb Police allege that McQueen had sexual contact with the child in the locker room at Smitha and in her car outside of the child’s house. She is also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor, for allegedly convincing the child to send McQueen a naked photo on social media.

McQueen’s position at Smitha is not listed, but through social media she is referenced as a physical education teacher for Cobb County Schools from July 2021-July 2022. She is also listed as a recent PE/health teacher at Fulton County Schools, where officials said she no longer works.

The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office said McQueen was arrested at a Fulton County school on Jan. 11 and is being held at the Cobb jail without bond.
