The Cobb County Democracy Center, led by Executive Director Dr. Monica Willis Brown, is continuing its dedication to voter advocacy, literacy, and education within the Cobb County community as they set their sights on the November General Election.
After their successful efforts in the spring to raise awareness among Mableton citizens regarding candidates and voting information for the new City’s government, the organization is now shifting its focus to the upcoming fall elections slated for November 7, 2023 that will take place in five of the seven cities within Cobb County. The five cities include Acworth, Austell, Kennesaw, Powder Springs, and Smyrna. In their latest endeavor, Brown and her team are actively engaging with and educating Cobb voters about the candidates, absentee voting, early voting, and more.
The organization is actively seeking volunteers to join their efforts within the five cities of Cobb County. If you are passionate about voter literacy and education and wish to contribute to making a positive impact in your community, you can reach out to Dr. Monica at: thinkeranddoer@gmail.com.
