Bookmark Art Project at South Cobb Regional Library

A Bookmark Art Project will be held at the South Cobb Regional Library located at 805 Clay Road in Mableton on June 2 and June 23 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. This program is for tweens, teens, and families. Participants can join the Bookmark Art Project challenge and make any work of art out of bookmarks to present at a showcase on July 15 at the library. 

Participants are asked to stop by the South Cobb Regional Library, Vinings Library, or the L.A. Ray Library to pick up a stack of 50 bookmarks to get started. Additional bookmarks are available. Projects must be mostly made from bookmarks but can incorporate other recycled elements to shape one’s art. 

There will be two optional work sessions before the showcase for residents to get ideas, inspiration, and work on the projects but participants in the showcase do not have to attend the work sessions. All projects must be one’s own work and must be turned in by July 12 at 5 p.m. for the showcase.
