Austell man accused of raping woman inside her home

An Austell man, Kamari Nizae Roby, has been charged with invading a woman’s home and raping her.
Cobb County Police accused Roby, 19, of entering the victim’s residence while she slept on Aug. 10 between 3:15 and 3:57 a.m. at the Tramore Village apartments on East-West Connector in Austell.
According to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department, Roby brandished a knife, ordered the victim to remove her clothing, and then raped her on her bed while holding the knife to her waist.
Roby is charged with rape and first-degree burglary/home invasion. He was arrested Aug. 16 and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.
