Woodstock woman shoots, kills another woman during an argument outside home

A tragic incident unfolded in Marietta on Saturday night after a Woodstock woman, Kiyanna Gabriella Brito, allegedly shot and fatally wounded another woman in the neck following an argument outside a home near Sope Creek.

The altercation began after a group of individuals had gathered outside the residence located at 354 Roosevelt Circle. Brito, 28, and Tyeshia Price, a 36-year-old Marietta woman, engaged in a heated dispute around 8 p.m. Saturday.
Police said in their report that the argument escalated with Price striking Brito in the face. In response, Brito retrieved a Glock 23 pistol and discharged it, striking Price in the neck and killing her.
Brito has been apprehended and is currently facing charges including homicide, murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
She is at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and is being held without bond.
