Valerie Anderson Community Impact Scholarship Established

Cobb County, GA – The Valerie Anderson Community Impact Scholarship Foundation has been created to support graduating high school seniors who demonstrate resilience, leadership, and a strong commitment to serving their communities. The scholarship will award one or more students who not only strive for personal success but also make a meaningful impact by uplifting others.

This award goes beyond academic achievement, focusing on students who exemplify leadership, integrity, and a genuine dedication to community service.

In talking about the scholarship, Anderson said “This is just the beginning. My vision is to grow this foundation into something that will continue to serve and support our community for years to come. I wanted to share this with you first because your encouragement, support, and belief in me have played a major role in making this possible. If you would like to support, partner, or simply help spread the word, I would truly appreciate it. More importantly, I ask that you continue to support the mission by encouraging and uplifting the young people in our community. 🎓 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Complete the scholarship application (this form)
2. Be a graduating senior at South Cobb High School
3. Submit two letters of recommendation (from a teacher, counselor, employer, or community leader)
4. Provide an essay describing their community service impact
5. Submit an official high school transcript

🎓 WHAT THE SCHOLAR RECEIVES
Selected recipient(s) will receive:

1. Financial support toward continued education
2. Public recognition at a community event
3. Designation as an official VA Community Impact Foundation Scholar
4. Invitation to the annual Scholar Leadership Breakfast
5. A certificate of achievement
6. Membership in the scholarship alumni network
7. Opportunities to be featured in community announcements and on social media
