Kennesaw Man Accused of Rape, Strangulation

A Kennesaw man, William McBee, has been arrested and accused of rape following strangulation of the victim. According to an arrest warrant from the Acworth Police Department, McBee, 53, is accused of raping the victim on Feb. 29 between 9 a.m. and noon at a Kennesaw residence.
McBee is also accused of strangling the victim to the point she lost consciousness briefly and then having sex with the victim without her consent. The victim stated that she told McBee no several times and he continued to strangle her. The victim was examined by a nurse and evidence of strangulation was found on her neck. The victim also told detectives that McBee has been sexually assaulting and strangling her into submission for the past six months.
According to jail records, McBee was arrested March 6 and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention. He remains in custody without bond.
