Citizens of Georgia wanting to participate in the election process by choosing their candidates in the May 24th Primary Election have until the close of business on Monday, April 25, 2022, to register as a voter.
Officials will also begin mailing absentee ballots on April 25th with absentee applications being accepted through May 13.
If you are a voter but are unsure of your voter registration status, log into the Secretary of State’s site: https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/.
In addition to confirming your registration, you can update your address, locate your voting precinct polling locations, see early voting options, and view sample ballots.
Early voting in Georgia begins May 2 for the May 24 Primary Election. Voters in Cobb can locate early voting locations at: https://www.cobbcounty.org/elections/voting/advance-voting.
Cobb voters will get to vote for the U.S. Senate, Governor, Lt. Governor, and a host of other positions down-ballot. Judges will also be selected. Voters in the City of Smyrna will choose a new city council member to replace Austin Wagner. Wagner resigned in early 2022 to assume a position in the Mayor’s office in Atlanta.
