The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers to avoid certain Great Value brand frozen raw shrimp sold at Walmart due to possible contamination with cesium-137, a radioactive isotope.

Affected Product:

Why the Warning?

  • Eating contaminated shrimp over time could pose a long-term cancer risk.

Do NOT eat, sell, or serve these shrimp.
Throw them away safely or return them to Walmart for a refund.
