ATLANTA, GA — The Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Company announced Wednesday that it will appoint a new chief executive officer in 2026.

Henrique Braun, 57, the company’s current Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, will assume the role of CEO effective March 31, 2026.

Braun will succeed James Quincey, who has led Coca-Cola for the past nine years. Quincey will transition into the role of Executive Chairman of the Board, maintaining an active leadership presence within the company.

Company officials said the leadership transition is part of a planned succession process aimed at ensuring continuity and long-term growth.

Braun has held multiple senior leadership roles at Coca-Cola and is credited with overseeing global operations and driving strategic initiatives during his tenure as COO.

Background on Henrique Braun

Henrique Braun joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1996 and has spent nearly three decades rising through the ranks of the global beverage giant. A native of Brazil, Braun began his career in marketing, holding leadership roles across Latin America, where he was credited with driving brand growth and strengthening Coca-Cola’s market presence.

He later served as President of Coca-Cola Latin America, overseeing operations in one of the company’s most dynamic and competitive regions. Braun went on to hold senior global roles, including Executive Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer, where he led worldwide brand strategy, innovation, and marketing transformation.

In 2022, Braun was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, placing him in charge of Coca-Cola’s global operating units, supply chain, and commercial execution. His promotion to CEO reflects the company’s long-term succession planning and confidence in his operational expertise and global leadership experience.
