Parking Pass Prices at Georgia State Parks to Increase for First Time in 16 Years

Share

ATLANTA, Ga. — Visitors to Georgia’s state parks will soon pay more to park, as the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced the first increase in parking pass prices in 16 years.

Officials said the change was necessary due to “rising maintenance and repair costs” across the state park system.

Here’s how the new prices compare to current rates:

  • Daily Passes: $5 → $10
  • Georgia Veteran Daily Passes: $3.75 → $7.50
  • Van Daily Passes: $30 → $50
  • Bus Daily Passes: $70 → $100
  • Annual Passes: $50 → $70
  • Senior Annual Passes: $25 → $35
  • Veteran Annual Passes: $37.50 → $52.50
  • Senior Disabled Veteran Passes: $18.25 → $26.25
  • Van Annual Passes: $75 → $90
  • Bus Annual Passes: $250 → $275

The department noted that disabled veterans remain eligible for a 25% discount on individual accommodations and recreation fees, in addition to parking discounts.

Georgia seniors also continue to receive a 20% discount on cottages from December through March and a year-round 20% discount on campsites and yurts. Senior discounts may be combined with disabled veteran discounts.
