Wreaths Across America receives $210,000 donation from Lockheed Martin

Share

A national nonprofit, Wreaths Across America, recently announced that corporate giant Lockheed Martin has made a $210,000 donation to their organization. Wreaths Across America coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies each December at more than 2,500 locations across the United States, at sea and abroad. The organization’s mission is to Remember, Honor, and Teach.

Through Lockheed Martin’s donation, nearly 15,000 wreaths will be placed at grave markers of veterans from all backgrounds on Sunday, Dec. 18th, as part of National Wreaths Across America Day. The wreaths will be distributed to nearly 30 locations across the U.S., including the Marietta National Cemetery.

“Lockheed Martin proudly supports Wreaths Across America and its mission to remember, honor and teach,” said Meagan Campion, Lockheed Martin director, social impact. “About one in five Lockheed Martin employees has served in uniform, so this gesture is personal to many of our colleagues. We are grateful for this solemn opportunity to honor all those who have served.”
