South Cobb High launches new football website

Share

In an effort to bring attention to the South Cobb football program, a new website was launched at southcobbfootball.org

The site contains the team’s 2022 schedule, rosters, and booster club information. It also offers a social media stream, photo galleries, and calendar and contact information.

Hanson said the site is a work in progress and is part of his ongoing quest to rebuild the Eagle program.

Preparing for his second season as South Cobb’s coach, Hanson said “We took elements from other sites and made it appealing and eye-catching. What we wanted to do was make it one of the best high school football websites around.”

The coach pointed to branding, which is a big part of what he is building at South Cobb. On the website, he talks about the team saying, “Our players will be held to a high standard in the classroom, in the community, at home, and on the field. We recognize the individual needs of our players, but we will always place the program at the forefront of everything that we do. ATTITUDE, COMMITMENT, and TEAM will be woven into the fabric of everything that is South Cobb football. As the head football coach at South Cobb High School, I invite you to ‘A.C.T.’ and help make us a championship program.”

Hanson said the response so far has been positive on the launch. “I’ve gotten a lot of calls and texts saying how good it looks.”

Coach Hanson said the site will also include other features. He looks forward to adding program history and an area to highlight former South Cobb players who have gone on to play in college and the NFL such as San Diego Chargers defensive lineman Justin Jones, Detroit Lions defensive back Jerry Jacobsamong, and the late Kenny McKinley who played for the Denver Broncos.
