Lockheed Marietta hosting hiring event and offering signing bonus

As the company looks to fill more than 200 jobs, the Lockheed Martin plant in Marietta will host a career event next week where workers will be hired on the spot. In addition to the opportunity to join the company day of, many may be eligible to receive a signing bonus. Workers who join Lockheed could receive a signing bonus of up to $15,000. 

The hiring event will take place in the student center of Kennesaw State University’s Marietta campus (located at 860 Rossbacher Way) on May 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Lockheed Martin Marietta is the production home of the C-130J aircraft. A company news release says open positions include structures mechanics, coaters, painters, and electrical and electronics mechanics. 

David Coffman, a vice president with Lockheed said, “This hiring event provides a great opportunity to join a team with a deep-rooted culture focused on our global customers. It’s an opportunity for long-term career development and the chance to be part of the world’s longest continuous military aircraft production operation in history.”
