Here’s how to request an Absentee Ballot

Absentee ballots are now available for the election. The deadline to submit an Absentee by Mail Application for the March 21, 2023, Special Election is March 10, 2023.

Any registered voter may apply for an Absentee Ballot via Cobb County Board of Elections online application process. Applications can only be accepted between 78 and 11 days before an election. Once the application is printed, the below steps should be followed:

1. Download the application (see below). Complete all applicable fields, print, and sign.
   • Please provide the required physical signature or mark in Section Eight (8).
   • Please provide the required Date of Birth in Section Seven (7).
   • Please provide the required voter identification in Section Seven (7).

   • Applications for the March 21, 2023, Special Election can only be accepted between January 2, 2023 – March 10, 2023.

1. You may apply for a ballot for a relative who is disabled or out of town, but that ballot will be mailed directly to the voter.  The person providing assistance should provide a signature or mark in Section Ten (10) and Section Eleven (11).

• Voted Absentee ballots may be mailed, dropped in one of the drop boxes noted above, or hand-delivered to the Main Elections Office during office hours.
• Drop boxes are located inside these Voting locations and are only open during voting hours.
• Absentee ballots must be received by 7:00 pm, March 21.
