Students and others searching for a viable career option have a new choice thanks to Chattahoochee Tech and its Phlebotomy Technician Certificate training program.
This program will prepare students for the medical field’s demand for phlebotomists who are employed throughout the health care system at the forefront of patient care, according to the school.
Chattahoochee Tech instructor Jennifer Chin serves as an instructor and clinical coordinator for the Chattahoochee Tech Medical Laboratory Technology program. In discussing the program, Chin said, “Phlebotomy is a very vital role in health care. You are responsible for collecting the blood specimens that a medical laboratory technologist will use to run tests and give results to a doctor to diagnose and treat patients.”
Graduates of the phlebotomy program will be eligible to sit for the phlebotomy technician certification exam offered through American Medical Technologists.
